Medieval Modernist (2012)

The Octandre Ensemble played a concert featuring chamber works by our Patron, Sir Harrison Birtwistle, standing in relation to medieval music. These were offset by pieces by Co-Artistic Director ChristianMason and Igor Stravinsky. The event hosted a medieval bar serving traditional ale and mead, and the medieval fancy dress was judged by Sir Harrison himself!
